Honolulu Ekiden Race

The modern Ekiden is a popular long distance relay race held all over Japan. Origins of the sport date back to when a messenger would deliver a message to another messenger until it reached its final destination. The Honolulu Ekiden is a 26.2-mile (42.195 km) course divided into six sections.
